what is it? is it alive?

ABSTRACTLY; real dead angel & catboy dirtworm. parasitic insect living in the brain of some weird, scared prey animal. haunted house in the shape of a person. stranger animal that bleeds and bleeds and bleeds. blood-loss world champion, 1996.

CONCRETELY; digital artist, storyweaver, and trashpoet. aspiring architect of worlds and realities. creating fiction is my passion and sanctuary, the truest joy in my life.

i am most inspired by horror and dark themes, mysteries and the unknown. the grotesque and macabre, paired with the ethereal and adorable. neo-noire, surrealism, and the inexorable pain of living in this strange, terrifying world. and, most of all, love.

visually, i adore bright colors and rainbow contrasted against black, animesque style elements, glitches and noise, and mixing digital mediums. i utilize a large, collected library of royalty free elements (clipart, photography, textures) as well as photos i've taken myself, and i love playing with that stuff and smashing it together like its toys.

i am a soft and decrepit thing that has lived its life in a cage. though i am safe in here, resigned perhaps, i'm still haunted by a yearning to be free. to be something more than nothing at all. through creating and sharing my work, i hope to achieve that by some measure. to cast a lifeline, make a phone call. a long-unused payphone ringing out in the empty midnight, cast orange in the glow of streetlamps.

thank you for picking up, if only for a moment.
